
Colleen W. Heinrich is the managing partner at Ferrara Fiorenza PC. She possesses more than 30 years of experience in education law, representing school districts and BOCES throughout New York State.
Colleen works closely with Boards of Education and school administration to provide legal advice in all aspects of education law, including student and employment matters, school board operations, special education, real property, district financing, and capital project concerns. She regularly represents school districts and BOCES clients in state and federal court, and before the Commissioner of Education.
She lectures and writes on school-related matters and provides training to clients, state, and national organizations on a broad range of school-related topics.
Colleen has served on the Board of Directors of Upstate JDRF. She previously served on the Board of the Westhill Educational Foundation, Legal Services of Central New York, and is a past president of the Central New York Women’s Bar Association.
She has also served on the Foundation Board of Vera House of Central New York and continues to provide volunteer services as an attorney on call for the Vera House Legal Clinic, serving victims of domestic violence.
